We are always excited to meet new patients and look forward to welcoming you and your child to our dental family! We strive to provide a fun and supportive environment for children, and our goal is to create a positive dental experience for your child.
When preparing your child, please reinforce the idea that going to the dentist is a fun and comfortable experience. Please try to avoid using words like “pain,” “needle” and “hurt” when talking to your child about the dentist. We will always tell your child about each procedure and how it works, show your child what it looks like, and then perform the procedure when they are comfortable. If you are anxious about the visit, your child will sense that and will be anxious as well.
At your child’s initial visit, your doctor will perform a comprehensive oral examination and review oral hygiene and dental care. Our friendly team will work with you to develop a comprehensive treatment plan to help your child achieve the healthy smile you have always wanted. Depending on your child’s comfort, we will clean your child’s teeth and apply a topical fluoride.
Please feel free to ask any questions you may have about your child’s treatment options when you come into the practice.
When you come in for your child’s initial visit, please be sure to bring your child’s dental insurance card and arrive early to fill out the initial paperwork if you have not already done so. If you are moving into the area, please ask your former dentist to send a copy of your child’s records.
New patients are welcome to complete their registration prior to their visit by downloading our forms. You are welcome to print and complete the forms prior to your child’s visit. Please remember to bring them with you to your child’s appointment. If you are unable to download the forms, please plan to arrive 10-15 minutes prior to your child’s appointment time to allow time to complete the forms in our office.
